According to Hindu belief, Ganesha is the son of Siwa and Durga, two powerful deities. Though human in form, he possesses the head of an elephant and is regarded as the Lord of Knowledge. He sits in a leafy forest in this sculpture from Eka, who keeps alive the artisan heritage of her late husband, Putra Suteja. Beautiful and original, the sculpture stands on an albesia wood base.
