This sleek sculpture was hand carved from sese wood by Ghanaian artisan Bright Kofi Agbetey using local tools. The artisan has captured the figure of the giraffe as it tilts its head back to pluck a piece of fruit from a tall tree. The dark brown and cream-colored sculpture is attached to a wood base for easy display.
