Tree trunks with knots like eyes seem to watch in the shadows. Like fireflies, golden glimmers join a swarm of tiny bubbles in a monochrome landscape of great beauty. "This is a mysterious forest where gold represents the unseen, the unknown magic or energy that causes magical happenings," Marina Pallares confides. "Each tree is different from the others but you must look closely to see the differences. From the magic of the forest, there arises this energy that the human eye cannot perceive. Every bit of gold leaf is placed to represent a different trajectory between the trees."

"Lovely little octopus!"
