Although theyre meant to be egg cups, they will hold also a tea candle so they can be used as a pretty pair of candle holders. They look very beautiful with a light inside and might be used in front of a Buddist figure. They could be use too as incense burners for they could as well accommodate an incense cone inside.Altogether a fantastic piece of artisanship to have at home.
