"Palm trees represent hedonism, relaxation and exoticism," says Guatemalan artist Spencer Samayoa while putting his skills and advanced woodcut printing techniques into practice. As an ancient art dating back to the 7th century, the xylograph print allows Spencer to create this mysterious scene of two palm trees peacefully moving to the rhythm of the wind.

The artwork, titled Viento Negro in Spanish, comes stretched.

On the horizon, thick rain clouds meet with the rolling hills of the prairies of Alberta. "The cool river water that goes through the forest flows beautifully while enlivening the ecosystem at the same time," says Javanese artist Aldi who specializes in impressionistic landscape paintings. His passion for nature is poured into this remarkable composition crafted with acrylic paints on canvas, so tranquil and serene you can almost hear the murmur of the water and feel the wind blowing through the trees.

Human lives are ephemeral, but a glimpse into the beauty of a calm springscape makes happiness eternal. Armenian artist Karine Dulyan captures this small momento of bliss in this impressionist composition, made with oil and pencil on paper. "This is a personal way with which to depict the Andean landscape," confides Raul Cardenas in reference to the purple undertones that color his composition. "I am highlighting three essential elements: wind, earth and water. They are important to the magical, cosmic world of pre-Hispanic cultures."

With this painting, Costa Rican artist Rose Mary Mendez invites the viewer to appreciate a piece of her country's landscape. She paints in a naif, style, capturing a pond, a cottage, and a mountain range in the distance. Says the artist, "The nature that surrounds me is a marvelous thing that has given me even more inspiration for my pieces. It is a marvelous gift that God gives us."

He paints this scene in a folk art style for a touch of serenity to any home. Says the artist, "Guatemala is a beautiful place to get inspired. In each tiny corner, there is a marvelous landscape. We are surrounded by nature, volcanoes, mountains, flora, and fauna; we are very fortunate. I try to transmit this in my pieces."

Where mountains hold memory and sustenance, Peruvian artist Pepe Chavez breathes life into a captivating acrylic on canvas composition inspired by the living geography of Cajamarca. The painting portrays two Andean women advancing along a rural path, integrated into their surroundings as an essential part of the land they inhabit. The figures, with voluminous forms and defined contours, evoke strength, labor and cultural heritage.
