Ezequiel learned silversmithing from his father - a master Taxco jeweler. After studying mechanical engineering and running his own industrial maintenance company, Ezequiel decided to return to his hometown to continue working on his father's craft. His designs feature references to global cultures as well as traditional Mexican iconography.

Two sets of adorable birds come together in this lovely pair of earrings by Maria Belen Nilson. She works each bird with meticulous detail and combines them with a flower decorated with a small turquoise.

Born in Argentina, Maria Belen moved to Mexico as a young woman. After living all over the country, she moved to Taxco where she worked as an apprentice under some of the town's best-known masters. She now runs her own workshop where she creates pieces that honor the traditions of her adopted homeland.
