Garnet, citrine, iolite, peridot, and amethyst surround a central blue topaz in this sterling silver pendant. The gems are hand-cut in Jaipur and hand-set in Kolkata. Inspired by the works of recently canonized missionary Mother Teresa, who spent much of her life ministering in Kolkata.

It's impossible to describe with sufficient detail the beauty of this pendant necklace, presented by Bali's Dewi Putera. Artisans start by crafting a kite-shaped pendant using a combination of handwork and casting. The pendant is adorned with bezel set gemstones--amazonite, blue topaz, amethyst, and garnet--as well as 18k gold plated accents, and hangs from a high-relief sterling silver ring. The two ends of a naga chain, featuring swirl and dot patterns, individually grasp the ring to create a Y shape.

Distinctly different, this jewelry set is the original creation of Alejandra Torres in Mexico. The necklace is knotted with polished lapis lazuli chips, cultured pearls and tiny beads of golden hematite. A petite sterling silver hummingbird with wings tipped in 18k gold centers the beaded strand. The dangle earrings feature the same gemstones on sterling silver wires.

The circular pendant features a smiling crescent-moon, hand-carved from bone, with a cat of sterling silver sitting beside it. A pair of faceted garnet gemstones flank them, while the top and bottom are adorned with amethyst and peridot gems. The entire necklace receives a combination of oxidized and high-polish finishes for stunning visual contrast.
