An exquisite five-piece set of matching accent tables is inspired by Colonial art and designed by artisan Abel Rios in Peru. The set is hand-crafted from local mohena wood and leather with embossed and hand-painted floral, leaf and bird motifs. These beautiful accessories feature an antiqued finish and are meant to be used as accent, side or coffee tables and benches.

Seven circles in sweet sky blue align on deep sapphire. Artisans from Vidri Arte craft a folding table from wrought iron to showcase the serene motifs. The images are created with pieces of stained glass, cut by hand and mounted on a clear glass base. "When light shines through the glass, you can appreciate its beauty even better," explain the artisans. "More importantly though, through working with glass we want to give people the light of hope."

Because each table is individually crafted, each is absolutely unique. The motifs could differ slightly from those pictured and the size could vary by as much as +/- 2 cm.

The legs of this table, finely worked on a lathe, capture the essence of light through their almost parabolic contours. Abel Ríos accents this bench with a leather seat, smooth in the center, yet intricately embossed along the border. Finished with a walnut-colored lacquer, the piece testifies to the artisan's ability to combine furniture and art, resulting in captivating accessories for any room of the home.

The Adinkra symbol sankofa, meaning "go back and get it," is hand-carved of cedarwood into the two legs of this Ghanaian accent table. Raphat Asigbey designs the table, diligently realizing the birds with great detail. He etches a sun design into the table's round surface, painting the entire piece by hand for an exciting addition to your home.

Crafted of fragrant cedar, this beautiful accent table depicts a sanctuary of colorful birds. Asunta Pelaez hand-paints the motifs on the reverse side of a glass pane, giving them a wonderful clarity. Showcasing a traditional Cajamarca handicraft, this table brings a magical beauty to any interior.
