Khalid Ali revisits the past with a jewelry box with the grace and charisma of an antique. It is carved of mango wood and painted before receiving a luxurious assortment of glass stones. These multicolored details surround delicately embossed images executed on nickel-plated brass. The box opens to reveal a velvet-lined interior, a mirror and a removable tray.

Superbly carved in high relief, a dragon stands guard on a jewelry box. More brave guardians parade around the sides. M. Ayub selects Kashmiri walnut wood for its beautiful grain and extreme hardness to demonstrate his skill. Lined in velvet, a lift-out tray has a special place for rings and the box itself is fully lined.
