Ranm Ixoqi' means "woman's heart" in the Mayan Kaqchikel language, and preserving Mayan customs is one of the group's goals. The Mayan weaving tradition uses the backstrap loom, a type of loom where one end is tied to something solid such as a pole or post and the other end consists of a strap that goes around the user's back. It is with a backstrap loom that this 100% cotton table runner is woven. Thread in ivory is used to create the table linen, featuring line motifs that form the image of a tree. The runner is finished with fringe on each end.
