Inside, 20 pages of rice paper hold four 4 x 6 inch snapshots each. The covers are bound with agel grass cord tied around cinnamon sticks.

Fatchurohman of Java designs a journal with handcrafted recycled paper and a bold cotton cover made via a technique called kolaste, in which batik fabric is cut into strips and then woven together. The saffron and black cover sports a traditional Indonesian gedheg motif resembling woven bamboo. The journal is held closed with a black elastic cord with a medallion stamped with the letter "F," embellished to also form an archer shooting toward a star. With unlined pages, the journal can be used for writing or sketching.

Each photo album in this pair invites you to explore cherished memories, featuring a solid green color and accented with a wood relief of a pineapple on the front and a cinnamon stick along the spine, fastened with agel grass cord. Handcrafted by Indonesian artisan Komang Sulaksana, these large and small photo albums open to pages of recycled paper, rice straw paper, and doorslag paper for storing photos and writing down anecdotes.

The large album holds two horizontal photos per page; while the small album holds one vertical photo per page.
