Pre-Hispanic motifs cover a vase of smooth terracotta, and the stylized face of a fox emerges from it. Taught by their father, Gregorio Bracamonte, Bracamonte Family artisans craft this handsome design. Inspired by Nicaragua's legendary pre-Hispanic ceramics, the vessel takes its colors from crushed stones mixed with slip.

West African symbolism pervades this lovely ceramic vase by Samuel Lovi. Both richly textured faces are centered with a medallion bearing the funtunfunefu denkyemfunefu adinkra symbol. Depicting Siamese crocodiles, funtunfunefu denkyemfunefu represents democracy and unity in diversity. Lovi names the design Agor, a Ewe word meaning "Fruit."

Evoking a mask, Samuel Lovi crafts a vase with faces that gaze in both directions. A gecko poses on the forehead, giving the design its name. Bright colors cover the ceramic vessel, and raffia earrings adorn it.

The richly adorned face of a Maya man suggests his royal lineage in an original vase from Oscar Rodolfo Mendoza. Detailed in high relief, the ceramic vase is also adorned with traditional motifs attributed to the Maya Pibil people. Little is known about them, other than that the Pibil were a warrior and migrant community that came to El Salvador from Mexico. This jar is treated to achieve an antiqued look, featuring red and orange hues obtained from achiote seeds.
