World Peace-themed Signed Block Print Blue Dove from Brazil, "Peace"

Using an intricate woodcut technique, the artist depicts a peace dove in mid-flight.

"With this xylograph, the dove represents the purity and goodness in people," explains the artist, adding, "It refers to freedom of thought, the union between peoples, reminding myself that, regardless of nationality, races and creeds, we are one Nation – Planet Earth.

"In my opinion, peace is not the opposite of war, but it is the practice of non-violence to resolve conflicts. It is the practice of dialogues between people. It is the democratic attitude towards life, the mutual respect that presupposes the dynamics of cooperation between peoples and the constant movement of the installation of justice."
