Striped Wool Shoulder Bag in Brown from Mexico, "Rain of Colors"

Designed by Mexico's Manuel Mendoza, this chic shoulder bag is woven of wool that is gathered only twice per year. It features slender stripes of alabaster, accented with a sprinkling of various colors that are achieved with natural dyes. Braided straps complete the design. The bag's zipper opens to a black lining with a small pocket on the inside. Says the artisan, "What I like the most about my work is weaving and combining colors to create the designs. In order to create my art I always use materials from my community."
