Illuminated in the bright light of the moon, birds alight on the roof of a monastery in Thailand. Det works in the woodcut technique to conjure the illusion of the warm night wind. "Most Buddhist holy days occur when the moon is full and we come to the temple to pay respect to Buddha," he says. "When I see the moonlight at the temple, it feels like the light of life."
