Details
Two Fante women move gracefully together as they perform the Apatampa dance. This dance is performed by shaking the body and clapping the hands, thighs, and chest. It is especially characteristic of the Fante people from Central Ghana. George Blankson Bessa-Simons selects a warm palette to depict the women against an indistinct background dappled by sunshine.
