Orange Batik Wall Hanging of African Drummers, "Drummers"

Playing with abandon, two West African drummers find their rhythm. This remarkable one-of-a-kind cotton wall hanging is the work of Gladys Ayorkor Ayi, who uses time-honored batik techniques to create the artwork. Designs are painted on fabric with wax, and then the fabric is dyed to achieve the desired pattern. This is repeated with different colors until the scene is complete.
