One of Oaxaca's most famous crafts — and there are many — is the handwoven Zapotec wool rugs. The best of these feature dyeing with plants and minerals. An example is this area rug in a traditional geometric design by master weaver Porfirio Gutierrez. He works on a traditional handloom.
