Oluwayemisi Adeniran draws inspiration from ancient Ghanaian medicine practices with this intriguing wall hanging. The cotton cloth first goes through a wax application, then a multi-colored batik dying process to create complex design. Potent medicines have long been used by African healers, as depicted in this scene. The artist names his design Aladegbo, which means "traditional healer" in the Yoruban language.
