In the mixed-media composition, a variety of geometric shapes such as circles, squares and staircases can be appreciated, arranged in a dynamic and evocative fashion where textured fragments of tissue paper and gauze bandage are expertly interwoven, reminiscent of ancestral mantles that lie hidden as vestiges of past rituals offered to the Inca goddess Pachamama, or Mother Earth.
Titled Descubrimiento in Spanish.

The painting is in the style of Klee but is its own manifestation of expression, surrealism, and childlike fancifulness. The remarkable combination of colors and choice of shapes and symbols is first rate. I was really lucky to get this true work of art. It hangs prominently in my gallery.

I bought this painting for my wife who is a quilt maker. When I first viewed it, It reminded me of some of her colorful quilts. I was quite surprised to see it described as crazy quilt landscape. I love the patchwork composition of organic and geometric shapes as well as the bright and earthtone colors that connect man with mother Earth. This painting hangs as a center focus in out main living area. Well created Miriam! We love it!
