Magenta and White Handwoven Diamond Ikat Cotton Scarf, "Heat Waves"

This beautiful fringed cotton scarf is lightweight with a lovely drape. Handwoven with a double ikat pattern -- a process where the warp and weft are both resist-dyed prior to weaving to create beautiful patterns -- the weft for this scarf is a deep lapis blue and the warp is ruby red. The center panel of the scarf has an intricate diamond pattern with a milk white background. In the diamond pattern and in the solid color block border, the red and blue of the warp and weft combine to create a beautiful magenta color. This scarf is designed by Sudha Rani of India.
