Details

Surrounded by peacocks and elephants, the sun smiles upon the earth. It represents the Indian deity Surya, god of the sun; his father is the sky god, Indra and his wife is Chaya, goddess of dawn. Devendra Kumar Jha creates an exquisite painting in the ancient Madhubani style, using natural colors on handmade paper.

As each painting is an individual creation, each is unique. Colors and motifs may vary slightly from that pictured.

I had my ""Elephant Harmony"" painting matted and framed and it is now the centerpiece of my living room. It is so vibrant and colorful and everyone who visits my home comments on the detail and beauty. The picture doesn't do it justice. It is a wonderful piece of art and my family will treasure it. Thank you for this beautiful, artistic work.

Your lovely Village Scene painting became a gift for an Indian friend and colleague. It gave me great pleasure to provide this wonderful piece to him. Best wishes for continued success as an artist.
