Limited Edition Collectible Fine Art Print from India, "Couple"

Shyamal Mukherjee depicts an elderly couple in the regional dress of Eastern India. Their colorful clothing belies their age and their body language suggests a long life shared together. Shyamal Mukherjee was born and raised in West Bengal, where he studied for a master's degree in fine arts. He uses reverse oil or acrylic painting on transparent acrylic sheets in the Bengal School figurative tradition. The artist has exhibited his work widely throughout India and has also held solo exhibitions abroad.
