Few textile manufacturers still take the time to process natural indigo or block-print fabrics, but both practices continue to flourish in Rajasthan, India, where this handcrafted bedding is made using techniques that have been perfected over centuries. Bundles of the indigo plant are soaked to extract the vibrant dye, while long sheets of cotton are laid out awaiting the color. With hand-carved wooden blocks, a wax resist is applied to the fabric. When dyed, the wax areas remain white while the rest takes on the evocative hues of midnight, lapis lazuli, and cerulean that all begin with the tropical indigo plant. This elegant duvet cover will be the focal point of your bedroom.
Please note: Duvet cover only; the cushions and pillow shams shown are not included.
The material is 100% cotton & can be washed in the washing machine. It makes the room look stunning. I am so pleased with this item. Beautifully made!!!

The cover looks mostly like the photo, maybe a little less sharp but it is fairly rough so you'll want to use a top sheet. Two of the buttons came off within the first couple nights of use. And the design is such that the underside is like an envelop so you can't just reverse it like with every other cover I've owned.

The actual bedspread is not as sharp and clear as the picture looks. It looks faded and old and the pattern looks blurred. We'll keep it, but it is not worth the price we paid...and it has no batting in it, just 2 pieces of fabric sewn together. NOT WHAT IT LOOKS LIKE IN THE PICTURE. Sorry...but it is the truth

This duvet cover works perfectly for our queen size bed. The color and pattern enhance our bedroom decor and the workmanship is excellent.

I was so excited to see whether the colors would match my expectations and they absolutely did. In fact, the 'real thing' is even more beautiful than the photo. I had read other reviews saying that the color fades or wears off onto white fabrics, so before using the duvet I washed it in cold water, with Ivory Snow and then dried it on low. The colors didn't fade and nothing came off on my white sheets.
