Angel Cerón is inspired by the legend of Aztlán for the design of this extraordinary sculpture. Meaning "the place of herons," Aztlán was a prophesized islet where the Mexicas were told to build their city, the Great Tenochtitlan – at modern day Mexico City. The brave warrior wears a bird headdress with a fish in its beak. In his hands he holds a human head and an eagle. Incredibly detailed, the sculpture is crafted of ceramic.
You can find our ceramic sculpture 'Aztlan Warrior' by Angel Ceron Artisan Association in categories such as Aztec Sculpture and Ceramic Sculpture. Enjoy exploring these sections for other Novica treasures.
