Handmade Haitian Beaded flag, "Tet San Ko"

Masterfully crafted by hand, this drapo vodou or "voodoo flag" from Mireille Delisme represents Tet San Ko. Each tiny glass bead is individually stitched to the cotton backing to create the elaborate design, in a process that can take as much as ten days. Haitian voodoo flags are traditionally used in ceremonies, and are believed to serve as a bridge between the physical and spiritual worlds. The wall hanging features a rod pocket at the top for display.
