Handmade Batik Rayon Shawl in Brown from Java, "Nighttime Petals in Brown"

Realized in batik on handwoven rayon, this wonderful shawl displays intricate designs in brown, black, and white. Javanese artisan Koko Limades creates the shawl, applying the motifs using the batik technique, where a wax resist is applied to the fabric before introducing dyes. The shawl is completed with fringes at the end, and its width allows it to double as a scarf.
