Sea legends from the past come to life through the art of Brazil's Glauco. He is inspired by Portugal's Sebastião Lopes and his cartographic legacy, which dates back to the 16th century. Lopes's maps were based on reports by famous explorers of the time, including Vasco da Gama, Américo Vespúcio, Ferdinand Magellan, Christopher Columbus and Pedro Alvarez Cabral. Tooled in fine leather, this replica of a 1558 original features a winged dragon as a fierce threat to galleons as they navigate through the Atlantic Ocean. The antique allure of this map is enhanced by its fine cedar wood rods.
Care instructions: Keep leather away from direct sunlight and in a well-ventilated location. To clean, use a slightly dampened cloth; do not use abrasive materials.
