"I dedicate this batik composition to the young women who are lured to urban areas only to find there are no jobs and therefore must turn to carrying goods for their survival. The dignity of young girls and women should be respected by offering them better opportunities," believes Ghanaian artist Samuel Ashong. He portrays three young women carrying heavy goods on their heads, with bright orange and yellow hues conveying high temperatures. Includes a card paper mat board.

"Beautiful Batik"
The art is beautiful and will be a great addition to our home. The packaging did protect the batik, but the matting is creased on one entire short end.

"treasure from Africa"
I made one African wall in my hallway. I have been to Africa many times, but I could not return with anything big...I love this picture of the women at the market in West Africa. It has modern and primitive elements as I see it, and it goes well with my other artifacts.
