Fine Silver Filigree Pendant Necklace, "Astral Cross"
Representing the Southern Cross, a chakana takes shape in lacy silver filigree. Alfredo Inga creates this necklace with an ancient Andean symbol. The chakana is taken from a constellation of stars forming a quadratic square, and represents the universe connected to the center of the world, believed to be Cuzco. It symbolizes order in family and community life.

"classic, magical piece..."
this substantial, graceful necklace stays in place without flipping or twisting, which is lovely.... i have already received many compliments, which i must say are well deserved! i am looking forward to a bit of aged patina on the silver, to match the 65 years i honored with this self-birthday gift. such an intricate, well balanced and flattering statement necklace....comfy and easy to wear...looks good with everything. thank you to the artist, and to me, for this gift!
