Ghanaian artist Jonathan Amartey often applies fiber glass to his paintings. In a different vein, he sculpts the image of a young woman with the versatile material over a wooden frame. "She wears a scarf on her head," he explains. "In our African culture, women dignify themselves by their way of dressing."
