Peruvian artisan Gamaniel Esmit creates an area rug that celebrates pre-Hispanic cultures. He works with wool against a cotton warp, hand-weaving the rectangular rug on a traditional telar de pedal, or floor loom. The rug features geometric patterns in red, orange, and grey, centered by chakana cross motifs.
