Working on a backstrap loom, Elena Ixtamer in Guatemala crafts this beautiful rayon ikat poncho in navy and white. Ikat is a weaving technique that employs resist dyeing the yarns before weaving the fabric. Braided fringe trims the bottom of the poncho.

"too small"
I was disappointed in the quality of this item. I just didnt think it was very thick and it is really short. I purchased it as a gift for someone tall and I dont think this will work. this is the first item I didnt think look like the picture. thank you for all you do.

"Fabuous Colors"
This shawl is so bright, vibrant, and inspiring of joy. It goes with many colors and is a great shawl to carry on a trip. You can make your whole outfit look extra special with this scarf. My husband took some great photos of me while wearing the scarf on vacation. Great for those days when you need something to take away a mild chill in the air and its not necessary to have a heavy wool. Love this scarf. Thank you Elena.
