Tenango is one of Mexico's most widely recognized embroidery styles, but few people know it is from a small town called Tenango de Doria, Hidalgo, an Otomi community. This cushion cover is a good example of traditional motifs in multicolored embroidery which focus on local plants and animals. By Guadalupe Navarro, its reverse side is solid ivory with a zipper.
