From the Ecological Weavers from San Juan de la Laguna, this fabulous extra long scarf doubles as shawl and it is woven by hand on a back strap loom. They dye the cotton threads with natural pigments, including cochineal with achiote seeds for the red hues, and jacobina for the gray.
The natural dyes are prepared by the women of Tejedoras Ecológicas de San Juan la Laguna with deep respect for the environment. Please note the intensity of the colors may decrease slightly during the first washes and appear like an uneven shade.

"Beautiful Craftsmanship and Color"
I adore this shawl. I have the same design in a stunning shade of aqua, so purchasing this regal purple was a given. These shawls are incredibly well-made. They drape and launder well and look great due to the intricate weaving technique and vibrant natural colors.

"Beautiful color"
The purple color is beautiful and natural. Has a little blue hue on it. It is not very light or very tick.

""Dark Amethyst Paths" shawl"
This is a marvelous shawl. I feel lucky to have a living piece of the weaving history of the Maya. It is of wonderful quality. I love the more versatile longer length, weight, and color! The ancient Logwood dye is actually a touch darker than the photo captured. Which all purple, royal lovers will appreciate. Thank you so much for beautiful quality of this product. Highly recommended.

"Natural luxury"
More muted color than in photo, very pretty. Lovely noticeable yet soft texture. Open weave worries me a bit, dont know how it will wash up.
