Colorful Bird and Floral Motif Guatemalan Tapestry, "Sky and Earth"

In an effort to promote female artisans, the Maya Women's Rug Hooking Group of Guatemala presents this beautiful and unique tapestry. Hilda García Tzunun designs the tapestry, inspired by the harmonious feeling of nature. She handcrafts it of recycled cotton blend remnants through a hooking technique, featuring the image of birds that fly among a floral garden. A cotton backing completes the one-of-a-kind tapestry.
