Chichen Itza Pyramid Sculpture, "Pyramid of Kukulcan"

Known as El Castillo or the Pyramid of Kukulcan, the main pyramid in Chichen Itza is emblematic of post-Classic Maya sites in the Yucatan. On both the spring and summer equinox, the rising sun casts shadows that seem to depict the feathered serpent descending the main structure in the UNESCO World heritage Site.
