Death personified with grace and humor, Catrina poses in an elegant orange dress dress with flowers by her feet. As always, she wears a wide-brimmed floral hat, as well as dangling bird earrings as she holds a trio of pumpkins. Artisans from the Angel Cerón Artisan Association are inspired by the celebrated cartoon developed by José Guadalupe Posadas to poke fun at Mexico's high society during the early 1900s. Revealing Catrina's skeletal figure, the Oaxacan clay sculpture is painted by hand.
The sculpture's head can be removed.

Ive ordered several of these Codex pieces from Angel Ceron Artisan and they are beautiful works of art. Tezcatlipoca is amazing and I am lucky to have gotten one before they sold out. I have several others including Tlaloc and Quetzalcoatl, etc. They are incredible and worth every penny. I can say that the packaging they come in is 100% secure and that I am always amazed at how professionally they are packaged and shipped. They come from Mexico and always come with a hand written note on a postcard from Palenque.
