A Brazilian bluebird extends its wings and lifts its sweet voice in song. Cactus flourishes beneath the starry sky of the country's Northeastern region and a lizard rests on a green hill. J. Borges creates a cheerful woodcut print in his hallmark naif style as he recalls his childhood there. Birds are a favorite theme.

"LOVE this beautiful woodblock!"
I bought this for my husband for Valentines Day. We love birds and we love art. This is beautiful! I cant wait to frame it and put it on our wall. We enjoyed reading about the artist as well! Sending thoughts of peace and good will!
