African Festival Dance Signed Painting, "Festive Mood"

Nii Addo paints with a bright palette of colors to capture the high energy of this Ghanaian dance in which men drum and women dance. "This festive scene is inspired by my experiences at the Aboakyer Festival," explains the Ghanaian artist. The festival is celebrated by the Efutu of Winneba in honor of the god Penkye Otu, who is credited with helping the Winneba people establish their present settlement.
