Art always takes inspiration from Buddha, but rarely do we get to see a close-up of his face in a moment of meditation, with his eyes closed and completely taken away by his thoughts. Brazilian artist Marcia Grijo crafts this peaceful portrait in Expressionist style with acrylic paints in blue, grey, brown and orange as the predominant colors. "I feel enlightened when creating this scene of Buddha during meditation. It is enlightenment through art," says Grijo.
