Acrylic and Dyes on Paper Expressionist Butterfly Painting, "Grassland with Butterfly"

"I get inspiration from the colors of minerals, the semi-desert land where cacti and prickly pears grow, but above all from the grasslands, elevated to an abstract expression with transparencies and flashes of colors that identify my work as unique and original," says Horacio Esquivel. The Mexican artist uses acrylic paints and natural dyes on Fabriano paper, which is acid-free and has a cotton component, for a remarkable composition of a blue butterfly soaring over the green and brown grasslands.
