Hand Woven Striped Silk Scarf with Fringes from Mexico, "Striped Beauty"

Carrying on the tradition of her grandmothers, Mexican artisan Natividad Estela Zarate works with silk to create beautiful apparel. She presents this scarf, which she weaves by hand on the backstrap loom with naturally-colored fibers in amber, ecru, olive, and copper for a striped design. She adds delicate fringes on the ends for a striking look.
