Beautifully made baby alpaca throw
This is a beautiful throw, made of very soft baby alpaca and large enough for two to snuggle. This is very finely made. Ive long wished I could purchase another baby alpaca textile since visiting Arequipa a couple of years ago. Its a very special treat to wrap yourself in the gifts of mother nature. Thanks to the master crafts people, Felipe and team!
Beautifully woven bedspread!
This bedspread is worth every penny! It is ample in size for a king sized bed, whereas most bedspreads are not. The fabric is a little heavy, but not too much, and gives one the sense of security when sleeping. The red color is very rich and looks elegant in our bedroom. I love the tassels and the workmanship is excellent. I will enjoy this purchase for many years!
"Today my main concern is to praise the hands and lives of artisans who continue to offer vital dimensions to our lives. A fair price recognizes their expertise."

India Handmade Block Print Cotton Duvet Cover and Shams, "Rajasthani Remembrance"$229
It can take up to three weeks to complete the laborious handmade process of textile printing. Dozens of hand-carved blocks are used to stamp a resist paste onto the cloth, which is then dyed and laid in the sun to dry. The longer the dye sets, the more vibrant the color. Then the cloth is washed to remove the resist, and the process begins again with a different block pattern. All told it can take 30 separate steps to achieve the intricate floral and geometric patterns for which ajrak is known. The traditional color palette of crimson red, indigo blue, and white on this all-cotton duvet cover is said to represent the universe: red for the earth, white for clouds, and blue for the sky, the universe itself. Two matching pillow shams complete the set.
100% Cotton Duvet Cover Cerulean Daffodil from Guatemala, "Ancestral Paths"$302.99
Las Orquideas Weavers are a group of over 50 artisans from Guatemala who work together to improve their economic situation and quality of life. They weave this duvet color from 100% cotton on a traditional loom, elaborating it with plaid patterns in cerulean blue and daffodil shades. Known as the motifs are created with an ikat technique, in which the threads are tie-dyed before placing them on the loom. This technique is passed down through generations of artisan women.
Alpaca Wool Solid Grey Throw Blanket, "Cozy Light Gray"$207.99
The ancient Inca discovered the unique attributes of alpaca and today Felipe Berckholtz shares them with this throw. Featuring long fringed ends, the throw is knitted of baby alpaca, which is the wool from the season's first shear renowned for its incredibly soft, lightweight warmth.
