Lithe geckos play hide and seek on these enchanting condiment cups by Putu Oka Mahendra. Shaped by hand on the potter's wheel, the pieces are high fired for eight hours, resulting in a hard, glossy finish. Their cool color whispers of Balinese rain forests.
I love these lovely bowls with the geckos on top. They are in my collection of vases/pots from all over the world.
We love these and use them for salt and pepper. Unfortunately, we are clumsy enough to knock them over occasionally. So, we found another set by the same artist that comes attached to it's own little stand. We use both sets - the individual bowls have geckos and the set with the plate attached has frogs.
Love these for salt and pepper - perfect when you need a pinch!
I have 2 sets of these little bowls and really like them, The little geckos are whimsical and are very clever as the lid handles. The finish is a flat green, not high gloss. Be aware, in case it matters to you, that the lids are loose fitting - I find this makes no difference to me. Although I use them decoratively, they most certainly could be used functionally.
I love these little covered bowls. I have 6 of them in my kitchen to store pills and vitamins. The workmanship is excellent.
