Flowers accessorize Catrina's turquoise dress as she personifies death with grace and humor. As always, she wears a wide-brimmed hat. Artisans from the Angel Cerón Artisan Association are inspired by the celebrated cartoon developed by José Guadalupe Posadas to poke fun at Mexico's high society during the early 1900's. Revealing Catrina's skeletal figure, the Oaxacan clay sculpture is painted by hand.
Catrina's head can be removed.

"Catrina the Beautiful IS beautiful"
This quirky and colourful sculpture is a real treasure. I love that she represents a dig at the hoi pilloi. She is well crafted and robust, making the journey to Australia without mishap. The removable head is a good feature. I bought her as a gift for my daughter but loved her so much that I have ordered another to keep. Thanks Angel.

"Catrina the Beautiful is a work of art"
This is my fourth piece of the Day of the Dead dolls by Angel Ceron. Mr. Ceron is an outstanding artist and I intend to collect every one of his dolls. There is so much detail in these dolls and I am so proud to own them Thank you Mr. Ceron for allowing me to own such lovely items.
