"In 1994, my mother Alicia began a small business. She was full of ideas. With the help of excellent artisans, she applied the technique of etched clay – utilized on pre-Hispanic replicas and Virgin images – to decorative accessories like lamps and vases. Back then, only a few craftspeople mastered this art. We were able to learn it and expand it to other artisans who collaborated with my mother.
"A couple of years later, she invited my brother and me to join her. With my brother Eduardo, the elaboration process became much more agile and controlled. He brought gas kilns to our workshop, which allowed us to produce more pieces of consistent quality. This, in turn, permitted us to develop new designs, especially larger pieces up to two meters (6.5 feet) tall.
"With our mother as a model, Eduardo and I stayed on. We've continued evolving as artisans to be able to create each piece with the quality that distinguishes us. Our ceramic technique remains the same. However, we strive to create new and innovative designs to offer you a variety of materials and styles."
