"The most moving thing about painting is simply the enormous pleasure of painting. I've been dedicated to figurative oil painting since I retired in 1997 from my career as a professor at the Pontificia Universidade Catolica of Rio de Janeiro. The joy of artistic design, however, has accompanied me since my adolescence."I usually represent villages, popular festivals, seascapes, and thematic series such as my works about 'happy hour,' which I have painted lately. For an artist, one of the greatest satisfactions, besides painting, is to have her work recognized. To buy a painting is one of the best gifts that somebody can give an artist. Exhibiting my work with Novica means the creation of even more possibilities of pleasing the public and being recognized for that."
