I wanted a dress made of subtly-patterned rayon, with long sleeves, midi length. None of my usual sources had anything even close. Same with trying to find a pattern and fabric to sew it myself. Along came a Novica catalog with this Celestial Day dress by Seema Shah. It looked perfect! I was amazed how quickly it arrived from India. The dress is as pictured. The rayon fabric has a lovely drape plus an interesting dobby texture. I love the side pockets. The lining is a nice touch. The background color is great and the print is subtle and pretty. There is embroidery on the front yoke which coordinates nicely with the fabric. I am 72 and it looks and feels great on me. I would have loved it at age 22!

Elevates and Uplifts

I adore this!! This is the second item by Aftab that I have ordered and am very pleased with both and will be looking for more creations from this shop in the future! I am wearing this now, cannot stop smiling and feel like a kid telling people "Look at my new top!" The colors are gorgeous! The blend of cotton and silk makes for a beautiful structure and sheen. It is so well made with attention to many details ~ beautiful stitching at the end of the sleeves, contrasting color on the inside near the edges, the pleating up near the beautiful neckline and the contrasting button. I'm carrying some extra weight right now and feel that very little looks good on me ~ yet this top looks great, flattering and feminine! Please make more ~ perhaps purple-blues-pinks? This top elevates and uplifts!

Lightweight, true to size, and washes so well

This lightweight dress is lovely! I usually wear a size 16 and an XL fits me very well (would probably also fit an 18 but would be too big for a 14). After warm water washing and drip-drying, it maintained it's sizing. I may iron it but it may just be fine as is!
