Despite his frightening appearance, Bhoma is a good and friendly spirit, much loved by the devout Balinese. His image is frequently found over Balinese houses, Hindu temple gateways and on cremation towers in Bali. Its function is to ward off evil. This sculpture comes with a detachable albesia wood base.
